About Working with Magnolia Voice and Swallowing Specialists in Milwaukee, WI
Billing & Insurance
Magnolia Voice and Swallowing Specialists is a private pay practice, which means you pay directly for your care rather than going through insurance.
This model eliminates the red tape, waitlists, and limited availability common to insurance-based clinics and large hospital systems. By paying directly, you get one-on-one care with more accessible appointments, often at a lower total cost than you would pay through traditional insurance. You, not an insurer, drive the therapy plan.
We accept debit/credit cards and HSA/FSA, with payment due at the time of service. We are out of network with all insurance companies, but we are happy to provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Evaluation and Therapy Rates
Comprehensive Evaluation $175
Therapy (60 mins) $125
Therapy (30 mins) $65
We provide patients with a Good Faith Estimate, explaining how much your medical care is estimated to cost.

Choosing private pay means your care isn't capped by what an insurer labels "medically necessary." For example, we can seamlessly bridge voice therapy and singing instruction— and continue any other service that falls outside insurance coverage. By paying directly, you get one-on-one care with more accessible appointments, often at a lower total cost than you would pay through traditional insurance— and you, not an insurer, drive the therapy plan.
-
Yes! Because we are a private pay clinic, we are not bound by insurance or school-based eligibility criteria. If you or your child has been discharged from therapy or was told you do not qualify for services elsewhere, we can often continue working together as long as you feel there are meaningful goals to address or skills to maintain. One of the benefits of working with us is that you drive the therapy plan— not an insurer or a school district. If you believe there's still work to be done, we're happy to be part of it.
One important exception: we are unable to provide services to individuals enrolled in Medicare.

Prior to your initial evaluation, we will schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation.

We can discuss this in our initial phone consultation. We will likely recommend seeing an ENT doctor first for voice and swallowing concerns. If you have not had any instrumental assessment, such as videostroboscopy or videofluoroscopic swallow study, we may recommend completing this at a medical facility and having the results sent to us. We often start with facial retraining or articulation therapies without seeing a doctor first.
-
No referral or prescription is needed. Because Magnolia Voice and Swallowing Specialists is a private pay clinic, you can reach out and schedule directly with us— no physician or insurance authorization required. Just contact us when you're ready, and we'll get you started.
